Bone is a sex hormone-dependent organ, which has importantimplications for current therapeutic strategies in theprevention and possible treatment of bone loss in theelderly. This book contains the proceedings of the ScheringWorkshop on "Sex Steroids and Bone." The various chapters byleading experts give and overall view of current knowledgeon the control of bone hemostasis by sex steroids and newideas on how this controlcould be exerted.
