Die Fibrinklebung in der Abdominal- und Kinderchirurgie ist eine etablierte Methode, die in den letzten Jahren noch zusätzliche Anwendungsgebiete und Indikationen gewonnen hat (z.B. Risikoanastomosen, Sicherung von Gefäßanastomosen und Versorgung von Fisteln). In der Kinderchirurgie wird der Fibrinkleber vor allem bei orthotopischer Lebertransplantation angewandt.
